Cindy Coates Musgrave was born in St. Anthony on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland and raised in the small out port of Main Brook.

She became a registered Nurse in 1970 at which time she moved with her husband, John from St. John's, to Montreal, Quebec. She then started studies in Fine Arts at Concordia University where she received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in 1984. She then began to design and make jewellery.

Her jewellery is sold in select stores in Newfoundland.: Johnson Geo Centre, Downhome Store in St. John's. Gros Morne Cooperating Association in Rocky Harbour, and at Tuckamore Lodge in Main Brook. Her bracelets are sold at Ogilvy's Department Store in Montreal.

Cindy divides her time between Montreal and Newfoundland.
